Like I'm sure many writers have before me, I recently discovered a hole in my story.
And I felt kinda like this infomercial lady right here:
For DAYS I struggled with this big problem.
I made lists of questions, lists of potential answers, and then another list of questions that had arisen from the answers to the first lists of questions.
At last...
I figured it out. But that meant going back through everything I had written so far and changing it to fit this new solution. Not everything had to be changed, but it's been enough that writing lately has felt more like a demolition project as I erase paragraphs upon paragraphs and replace them with new ones.
But demolition is just as valuable as creation.
In fact, it's one and the same.
You can't get where you're trying to go unless you put where you've been behind you.
You can't build a better house if you refuse to tear down the rickety shack on the lot.
So be brave!
Bring down the ceiling!
Build a balcony!
