This past year has been crazy, and I've learned a lot and had some really great experiences.
But it was a year for me.
My theme was "It's My Time," and I really took that to heart - with school, with love, with starting a family, with tons of other opportunities and choices.
I feel like that was what was right for me at that time in my life, but this year, my motto is going to be a little different.
I want to shine this year.
Not in a spotlight, not as a "look at me" light, but as a warming light that brings brightness to others.
I want to keep my arrows pointing out this year.
I want to touch as many lives as I can.
Matthew 5:15
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Matthew 5:15
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
I don't want to keep my light to myself,
or use it just to light my own little diameter.
I want to give light to everyone I can.
I want to smile at strangers in the grocery store.
I want to have lunch with friends I haven't seen in a while.
I want to make dinners for people.
I want to be extra kind.
I want to shine.
Happy New Year, and may we all find ways to shine a little brighter and light a few more paths this year!
