It's My Time - 2017 In Review

At the beginning of the year, I set a motto for myself:

It's My Time.

I'd resolved to take chances, go after what I wanted, and seize opportunities as they came.

As always, God took my motto and saw it as an opportunity to give me lots of chances to apply it.

This year, I:

Fell in love with La La Land

Enjoyed a Disney Cruise with my family, 

stopping in

Mexico

 Grand Cayman

Jamaica

and Disney's Private Island: Castaway Cay.

Collaborated with Brianna Yates to tell your story in photographs:

Saw my sister fall in love and get married for time and all eternity: 

Wrote my 100th blog post and gave you 100 reasons to love yourself:

Saw my little brother graduate high school:

Started the greatest love story of my life involving

An 80s party

A trip to California 

(yes, I got that badly burned on the first day, and yes, I did that to my own face by falling out of a tree)

An engagement (or two - shout out to Walmart and Goldsmith's both!)

Learning how to do long distance (it's hard)

Fulfilling my life-long fantasy of taking dramatic running-away pictures in a huge dress

And marrying the love of my eternities!

Fell in love with (and convinced myself I was) Wonder Woman:

Had two wonderful concerts with my amazing dancers:

Took a trip to Glacier National Park

and saw some of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen:

Took my dancers to NUVO and took a teachers' class from

TRAVIS FREAKING WALL:

Became an instant aunt to two adorable nieces and one adorable nephew:

Became an official English Teaching Major:

And got to work with teachers in local schools!

And learned what a precious gift it is to carry a life inside of you, even for a short while:
